Steve and E Dawg's wedding
Thursday was the rehearsal dinner. The invitation said Rehearsal dinner at St. Ambrose's Church, so I Mapquested it and followed the directions. All of us bridesmaids except Elizabeth's cousin Jen from Missouri (who was with the family) showed up there, walked all around the whole building in the F-ing freezing wind (-0 temp) only to call her and find that everyone was at St. Paul on the Lake, which was on the other side of Grosse Pointe, and was where the ceremony was to be held. Thanks for correct instructions on where to be, invitation!!! (BASTARDS) We drove over to St. Paul's, waited a few minutes, and started the rehearsal at the Wedding Nazi's (wedding planner) instruction, without the out of state people or the bride's parents! After that, we went back to St. Ambrose's for the dinner part,(including lovely strawberry filled crepes:) all of which was pretty tasty! Around 10 we went home, exhausted, I went to see Mike afterward cause I'm crazy, went to sleep at before 1, then woke at 8 AM, waited for Christine to be late coming from New Hudson (she got up at 6:30) so we could go pick Brooke up. We called her on the way, and when we arrived, Christine banged on her door for 10 minutes before she got an answer. Yup, Brookie slept through her alarm and a good 10 phone calls! We arrived at E Dawg's house in Rochester at about 10:40 to get our hair did, and miraculously, despite Nicole (pain in the ass maid of honour) insisting on her hair being done over a second time, we were finished with the hair portion of the day by about noon. Then it was make up party, put the gowns on, and allow ourselves to be photographed before making the 40 minute drive over to the church. Yup, I followed the lead footed limo driver in the Panzer (my Taurus), and all was well. Nicole was freaking out in the limo with Elizabeth (who had to barf) before the ceremony, but everything turned out fine, other than Father Patrick Halfpenny forgetting to say, "you may kiss your bride!" Then the bridal party (12 of us) were photographed some more, hopped into the limo, and finished the 3 bottles of bubbly during the 30 minute drive to the reception. More photos once we arrive at the reception, we miss out on snacky time because of it (STINK!), and Christine and I are denied drinks at the open bar because our licenses are 30 minutes away in my car at the church!!! Elizabeth's parents worked that one out with the wait staff and bartenders, though. The music was bad (All Sweet Home Alabama, Brown Eyed Girl, Grease medley and other such nonsense) and other than the pasta, I've hed better food at camp! The beef tenderloin was all mid-well to well done, thus, inedible. Then one of Steve's out of state childhood friends started sleazing up on the maid of honour, talking to her and whatever else, then this a-hole got in Nicole's boyfriend, Mike Stanton's face, and some other garbage went down. It was no good, Nicole, who is as exciteable as a poodle, shouted "take it outside" to this Andy guy AFTER her boyfriend had left the room and calmed down! She gets a few cocktails in her and acts really stupid, maybe she should consider not drinking at all. That happened after the newlyweds left to consummate their marriage, thank God, because Elizabeth would have passed out! I'm glad they didn't know about that incident until the next day, they got to enjoy their wedding night. Then Brian (Christine's fiance) Christine, Mike, and I found our way back to the church without directions, which were left in my car; this took an hour, but we finally made it home. I spent all of Saturday recooperating Current Mood: exhausted | | Wednesday, January 19th, 2005 | | 3:08 pm |
Schmoopie's been sick, so I had to take care of him. Bry, he's still waiting for that punch in the face from you to make him feel better! Today I woke up to more snow, however, slightly warmer weather. I also picked up the red bridesmaid gown for Elizabeth's wedding on the 28th. Think my backache could be from dehydration? Mama's birthday
Today's my mom's birthday, I have cake in the oven, and I'm making some delicious dinner. We're going to make party, wish you could be here to eat some herb marinated beef tenderloin, Bry! I have your glasses, Tal, kisses! Buddy double wrapped Mom's present, the outer wrap he tried to do in a manner Bry would approve of, but he cut the paper bag apart to neatly wrap, instead of just taping the m-f-er over! I'm a little confused, too! Current Mood: crazy | | Sunday, December 19th, 2004 | | 6:29 pm |

Mike's coming with me, Busia's going to make Polska fun for everyone, Uncle Tokey's probably going to be there, and I just know Captain's going to be philosophically supportive of all of us. I'M SO RELIEVED!
Jesus heard my prayers, because Bush is back! I had serious doubts about the integrity of the American public, I guess more of those sorts stayed away from the polls? Kerry's weak, I really don't believe he has what it takes to stand up for this country. People get too emotionally charged by politics. Think about it, not in terms of who you like more, but who is more capable as a leader, and who surrounds themselves with more intelligent, wise advisors. VP Cheney is a great man, George is fortunate to have him. God bless you all. Current Mood: jubilant | | Tuesday, November 2nd, 2004 | | 1:53 pm |
ELECTION DAY
Oh, am I scared something bad's going to happen. Buddy and I went to pick mommy up for lunch today from the election polls where she's working, and there were tons of people waiting in long snaking lines to vote. I wanted to shout, "Don't let stupidity take over and lead you to vote for Kerry!" I didn't, though. There should be an examination citizens are required pass before voting. This isn't fill in the dots, it's the fate of a nation. There were mentally ill people with their caretakers there to vote (Matty, I know you're excited now.) But seriously, someone wearing a helmet, sitting in a wheelchair, is there any other result than their caretaker or the election official's oppinion being cast? I figure a lot of people in this country are about as intelligent concerning decision making, though. A few responses: "It's George Bush's fault that the unemployment rate has risen." Did he force corporation owners to move jobs out of this country? Terrorism must be his fault as well, then. He controls those crazy Muslims. He put the idea in their heads that killing citizens of capitalist countries is going to solve the world's hurt. These are the same people that kill rape VICTIMS, calling it a "mercy killing" and do nothing to the man who committed the crime. Great people. Yeah, some people are going to die in wars, but does the end justify the means? Saddam is no longer in power; and wouldn't you rather be CERTAIN that there aren't nukes or massive weapons in the hands of those people? What would Kerry have done? Stand back and watch terrorists continue killing? "Let them skull fuck this nation, it makes them happy!" That guy's a lil too wishy washy to make me feel good about his integrity in leading a nation, much less one of this magnitude. He couldn't lead a boat crew in Vietnam, what makes you think he is capable of leading the United States? Current Mood: distressed | | Monday, October 18th, 2004 | | 12:53 am |

Sweetest Day Weekend
Alright, so I said that Sweetest Day was a load of crap. I may be partially wrong. Late Friday afternoon Mike came over to pick me up, and he had brought one of those cookie flower bouquets of smiley flowers! As if that wasn't enough, he cooked dinner for me and told me that he had another surprize for me, that he was sending me to a spa (oh, yes, an AVEDA one!) for a massage and pedicure on Saturday! This is the man I'd had a discussion with about Sweetest Day being a Hallmark holiday! Then we went over to Jeffy and his wife Nicole's house to hang out and enjoy the Chicken Marsala we helped Mike cook for dinner, which tasted fantastic! Does it get much better? My toes are the prettiest shade of pink (thank you Mike for sending my to Lana from Russia who gave me foot bubble bath, pumiced my feet, then painted the toes!) Mike sent me to a MALE MASSEUSE, on purpose, who advised me on a good stretch for my tight Pectoralis Majors, somebody f-ing pinch me! Oh, yes, a nice day off. Things had been a little crazy and or frustrating at work, and maybe, just maybe they are feeling respect for me. They asked me to train someone the other night, which is a big deal there. The coach responsible for server training, hiring, and service (Mike, no, not my hot boyfriend) said he'd get me on the schedule for training, if I wanted to be. Trainers don't pay tip share while they train, and sit down for a free meal at the end of the shift with their trainee. I'll take it. Not to mention helping to get people to do things "the right way" at work. I'm off the Sunday matrix at work. Translation: I don't work Sundays anymore on the set schedule because I'm busy with catechism. I feel good about this. I'm thinking about getting out to the fabric store to get my Halloween costume together. I'm pretty excited about all of this Halloween stuff this year. Derek's supposed to be having a Halloween party that Mike and I are going to, not to mention other things going on everywhere else. I met my girl, Amy Swift at the mall shorly after 10 this morning for some fun. I got a skinny black belt for $10, as well as a $20 cami for Mama. It's black with lace on the top and a pink layer underneath; she was pretty excited. I also got a bottle of my favorite Riesling at Worldly Market; the Black Star Farms Spaetlese (late harvest) ARCTUROS RIESLING, from Sutton's Bay, Michigan. Tasty. I helped Mama make delicious Key Lime Pie yesterday for tonight. Pesto Chicken with pasta and Caesar salad, the theme: green and garlic, come and get stink mouth! I got back from the salon a lil bit ago, and I'm really happy with my cut. It's just trimmed up a bit, looks hot. AVEDA, my salon, had a promo to get your hair did by new stylists for $20, I'm all about that. I f-ing love going there! Asiyat, a girl I work with came in to make an appointment to donate her hair to Locks of Love, like I did back in January (or whenever it was). I'm excited for her! I told her about cutting my hair off last night; Mike and I went to J's after dinner with his parents, to have a few cocktails and see our friends - a bunch of them were woking. YEAH MOTHER F-ERS!!! I DON'T HAVE TO WORK TONIGHT!!! So I put a cute outfit on, Mike's coming to pick me up and we're going to have dinner with his parents : ) This is fun, we did dinner with my mommy and daddy for the third time Wednesday, and this will be the third time having dinner with his parents. I made an extra delicious dinner with my mom Wednesday. She made salads with her raspberry walnut dressing and these cute little apple pies that had orange zest in the crust, and I made the marinade (garlic, fresh rosemary and thyme with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, sea salt and fresh black pepper) for the beef tenderloin seared rare on the grill, and we had baked potatoes and roasted asparagus, yummy! Hope you all are having fun! Love ya! Gotta go because my hot boyfriend's here! Current Mood: energetic |
